We are renewing our connection with readers and creating a space where news, people, business and community life come together.

We are back, with our history.

Londono Žinios was born out of a need to tell the story of Lithuanian life in the United Kingdom. The newspaper’s pages carried UK current affairs, people’s stories and accounts of the businesses being built here. The archive issues bear witness to more than the publication’s past: they record part of our community’s life.

Today we are beginning a new chapter. We want to continue this story and restore a living connection with people who care about what is happening around them, in Lithuania and across the United Kingdom.

Why are we coming back?

There is no shortage of information today. It is harder to sort out what matters, to understand what changes mean for everyday life, and to know where to turn. The community needs a place where people’s experiences are heard, initiatives are noticed and useful connections are made.

We are restoring Londono Žinios as such a place: for readers, organisations and businesses that have something to say and something to share.

What matters to us is not only reporting what happened, but also showing what it means for our readers.

We preserve the history. We create new content.

One of our aims is to preserve the heritage of Londono Žinios: the newspaper’s issues, articles, photographs and stories from previous years. Work to restore the archive is not yet finished. We will publish the archive content gradually, clearly separating historical publications from news.
